It's October and I'm not settled.

I'm in bed with a big nasty cold atm and I've started to get obsessed with vogue runway again. I've been using Pinterest a lot recently but I've started to find it annoying.  I like digging for ideas, Insop, and just general shit that excites me, but I don't necessarily like it being so curated. Kind of living in fear of pinteresting every aspect of my life.

 I haven't made anything creative in a while bc of moving and other personal circumstances, its hard because I can struggle with identity a lot when I don't have some kind of creative outlet. Flicking through vogue runway has been a nice intro back into even having creative thoughts that might go somewhere again. Here's a little mood board /thoughts for 1st week of cold & flu.

"River island bow" that's all it took to find hundreds of matches via vinted.  Depop makes me weep, the thought of someone paying £84 for a river island top (NOT pictured here) this one was sold for £3. Will someone pay it just to take the easy rout into another micro trend.

Stormy Birthday in the Welsh countryside ⚡

It was a big stormy birthday for me last month! Luke and I stayed in a cottage in Penhow for a couple nights over my birthday, the decor throughout the house was amazin and very considered, but one room seemed to be particularly curated! 

We took these pics using my Canon digi cam (ft in last post)

 Camera of the month: Canon PowerShot A470

This year I'm dedicating a camera to each month! Although I use my cameras semmi regularly,  I'm aiming to shoot mostly on the camera I have chosen each month, to really get to grips with each one.  There's no pressure on how many images I'll have to produce or post on here but this is just a way for me to use every camera I have!

Camera:

Mini digital cameras like this are ones I always end up using on shoots- no matter how much I’ve planned to use film or another camera I am always happy with the outcome of these. This little one is great for nights out and just popping in my pocket whenever. I have not done a camera review before lol and I don’t think that's what I'm aiming to do here, but I just want to write about what I like about it I guess? It takes 2 AA batteries, I use rechargeable ones as disposable ones as they are more reliable than disposable ones.

Merry Christmas: @ Grandmas House

Every year since I was little my gran has done her decorations up big. This year I finally got around to taking some pics. 

This first set is all on my mini canon digi camera (7.1mp), I'll be making a post on the cameras I use in the coming months. No matter what other cameras I use on a shoot I feel like I always end up liking these the most or coming back to them the most. Part of the reason I like the outcomes is that I do minimal to no editing on them- a lot less time consuming for me👍

I've been testing out my 35mm cameras a bit more lately, just to kind of see how they all work in different settings, the next set of photos were taken on my Olympus point and shoot.

These are most of the film pics I was happy with, for me the editing and lighting consistency of the images could definitely be better. I always have this thing of like oh I have to shoot on film to make it look more "professional" and whenever I do this I usually end up not liking the outcomes or preferring the digitals. I think I'm just really trying to find out what cameras and process works for me, also trying to get of the headspace of being overly concerned with what might look good on Instagram! 

             Above is the main image I couldn't quite get the colors how I wanted them. I usually don't do much editing so I'm trying to learn a bit. Constructive feedback welcome via message on my Instagram @chloemarshall.c0.uk ❤
